Hi Mark. Sorry for the tardy response. There is an excellent book that covers the mine and the area: Hoskinson, Maxie (2000). Remember When: 75 years, a collection of memories of people who lived and worked at Kikoira and Gibsonvale. Copies may be available through the Bland District Historical Society at Wyalong. They are open 2-5 every day and will post books. Their phone no is (02) 6972 3303 If they don’t have any copies left they may be able to advise you how to get one. There is a few pages about Gibsonvale in my Maher Cup book. There was a feature in Pix Magazine back in 1941 which has some great pictures. It has been scanned and is available here: https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-442631980/view?partId=nla.obj-442713372 It maybe also be of interest that the papers of John (Jack) Gibson are in the Charles Sturt Uni Archive in Wagga. I had a look at some boxes – there’s ooodles of stuff – just ready for someone to write up a detailed history. Cheers Neil 0448-440-110 neiljpollock@gmail.com
